Description It is a small tropical tree with varieties of pink, mauve and yellow flowers. The finest oil is distilled from the yellow blooms. The first oil drawn from the flowers is the best. The oil from subsequent distillations has similar therapeutic qualities although less perfume.

Indications It has a reputed ability to balance the hormones and is valuable with problems with the reproductive system.

Particularly useful when dealing with rapid breathing (hyperpnoea) and rapid heartbeat (tachycardia) and its sedative properties can help lower high blood pressure.

Precautions Excessive use may lead to headaches and nausea. Do not use on inflammatory skin conditions or dermatitis.
