Description Perched on long stems, the tiny purple/blue flowers ar covered wit star shaped hairs. The narrow leaves are grey/green. It is one of the most popularv essential oils and has been used in healing for centuries.

It was popular in the Elizabethan and Stuart age and was a favourite of Queen maria Hebrietta.

Indications It appers to cleanse and soothe the spirit, relieving anger and disorders.

May well be valuable in manic depresssive states.

Pain relieving and beneficial to the rsepiratory system. It also deals with such problems as bronchitis, catarrh, laryngitis, and throoat infections.

It is also useful with menstrual problems and is renowned as an incecticide.

Precautions People with low blood pressure may feel dull and drowsy. It is an ammenagogue so best avoided during early pregnancy.
